What apps are you using in the practice room, if any? There is so much technology these days and I find it can be helpful or just another distraction. I just came across a new app called iPracticePro that looks interesting and I am going to check out. It has different sections like Drones, Progressions, Chords and Pad, which looks particularly interesting as it seems to allow you to choose your own chord voicing.
How many things do you generally work on simultaneously in a practice session? Over the course of a week or month? Are you a strict goal setter with a checklist of things to get through or do you start on something and tend to just take your practicing wherever it leads you?
What resources (books etc.) would you recommend for getting your feet wet learning small group arranging (and particularly horn arrangements)?
Any thoughts about whether a dynamic or condenser microphone would be a better bet for home recording of a saxophone assuming keeping cost below around $400? Ribbon mics and condensers are often recommended, but I have also heard that a good dynamic mic is better than buying an inexpensive condenser.
